Castle Fight

A personal strategy game project spanning gameplay design, branding, packaging, web, illustration, and mobile app development - from tabletop prototype to Android release.

case study

background

Castle Fight began as a self-initiated tabletop strategy game inspired by classic abstract games like chess and checkers. The project grew into a full product ecosystem, including gameplay design, branding, packaging, web, illustration, promotional assets, and a mobile Android release.

objectives

The goal was to create a tactical game that felt easy to learn, visually memorable, and strategically replayable, while building a brand system that could work across physical and digital touchpoints.

results

Game Development

I designed the game mechanics, board structure, unit types, win conditions, and visual language, then refined the experience through prototyping and playtesting. The gameplay focuses on clear tactical choices, fast turns, and no-randomness decision-making.

Digital Expansion

Digital Expansion

I later translated the tabletop concept into a mobile game experience, designing UI, onboarding, visual feedback, game flow, promotional assets, and release materials for Android.

From Tabletop Concept to Mobile Release

Castle Fight started as a physical board game prototype and evolved into a released Android strategy game. I designed the rules, visual identity, board, pieces, packaging, website, promotional materials, and mobile app experience.

The project gave me the opportunity to own the full creative and product process — from concept and prototyping to branding, UX, marketing, development support, and launch.

And below is the story how it all began…

As a creator, I have taken great care to produce a prototype that delivers an immersive gaming experience while also remaining easy to learn and play. We have also developed a landing page where interested gamers can purchase this exciting new game.
